22 Mar Young Artist Awards 2017

This was my first year attending the Young Artist Awards and I was fortunate enough to have been nominated for Best Performance in a Short film Teen Actress for my performance in The Blimp Trap as Billy an autistic girl. I also got to present an award which was a lot of fun. When you first arrive at the event you go on the red carpet and are photographed and interviewed. I wore a super poofy dress from my designer Nancy Vuu. I presented the award with Liz Fuller, Mark Christopher Lawrence and other wonderfully talented young people. During the show there are certain performances from different arts. This year there was singing, karate and circus skills. I didn’t end up winning in my category but that is alright because I was honored to be nominated. I hope to be nominated again next year. The Young Artist Awards have been around since 1978 and have been supporting young artistry since then.
