The SAMHSA Award Ceremony was a very emotional evening. SAMHSA Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. All of the awards winners had gone through depression, used alcohol or drugs and tried to commit suicide but had lived or stopped themselves. It was very inspiring. This was the 10th annual Voice awards and it was held on the UCLA campus in the Royce Hall. The reason I was lucky enough to go was through SAG, my acting union. T.V shows and films were recognized for their incredible storylines that used the themes that SAMHSA raises.
