05 Oct Sunscreen Film Festival West

This is my second year at Sunscreen Film Fest West and I enjoyed it as much as the first time I was there. It was held in a large hall in Hermosa Beach. It also has a sister festival in Florida. I went to all the panels and workshops and the opening and closing nights. I met lots of great writers, casting directors, producers, actors and distributers. I learnt so much from each panel. One of the things I learn was that when you are writing a script, the characters have to have a ‘want’ (goal), a ‘stop’ (something is their way) and something ironic (like a guy want to be more humanly but is a robot.) Each panel I took about five pages of notes, there was so much to learn. I can’t wait to go back again next year!
