We went to an event that the SAG Foundation was holding for Independent Filmmakers. There were 4 speakers; Jen McGowan,Tommy Savas, Patrick Rena and Raphael Kryszek. Jen is a director, Tommy is an actor/producer, Patrick is also an actor/producer and Raphael is a producer. I learnt a lot from the panel and got lots of great contacts. I learnt that you don’t always need money to film something, you don’t need distribution, you can self distribute and that you may train to be an actor and then turn out to be something completely different.
