I seem to be heading to the Silver Screening room at the Pacific design Centre in LA a lot at the moment. Firstly I went to Direct to Series and now this. The Danish Girl is a film starring Eddie Redmayne, Alicia Vikander and directed by Tom Hooper. It is a beautiful film based in 20th century Denmark. I don’t want to spoil it for you so I won’t tell you what happens but what I will tell you is that it is an incredibly moving true story about the struggles of life for the protagonist who thinks they were born into the wrong body. Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life by making it possible for you to relate to the characters even if you have never experienced the exact situation. We were very fortunate that after the movie there was a panel with the make-up and hair designer, the production designer, producer, writer and director. I learnt that it took at least 20 drafts until they had the shooting script.
